CAALT is dedicated to understanding modern Lie theory. During the
last century Lie theory penetrated almost all branches of mathematics. Many
breakthroughs have occurred and at the same time a large number of important
open problems were generated. The aim of this center is to attack some of the
current problems both in algebraic and in analytic Lie theory. In particular,
focus will be set on the following two areas
Multiplicity conjectures in representation theory.
Geometry of group actions.
The center gets its support through a grant from the Danish Natural Science
Research Council for the period April 1, 2002 - March 31, 2005.
